My anecdotal riposte to that cowardly intra-White generational warfare is to note that I personally know young White men who have promising professional jobs and also have girlfriends, and who are in the process of endangering their success by acting like immature jackasses, and ignoring advice from elders. I suppose that when they crash and burn, it’ll all be the fault of “Boomers.”

Someone could, for example, set up a website asserting that William Pierce never existed, he was a Jewish hoax, and everyone who claimed to have met him (including me) is a lying ADL operative. They could perhaps find small errors in his birth certificate or maybe one driver’s license listed him at 6’2″ and another at 6’3″. All “proof” that he was an invention of Jewish operatives who couldn’t get their stories straight. One could examine videos of Pierce speaking and say that the shadows suggest it is doctored and audio recordings of his voice match that of some famous actor. We can then debate this online for years instead of doing the hard work to deal with actual reality, like the problem of race replacement. What a load of bullocks: Second paragraph of the “Discussion” section, they say that the difference of the frequencies of “genes associated with educational attainment” between NW and NE Italians is as much as between each of them and southern Italians yet they explain it away by saying “it is due the nature of the sampling”(!), and at the end of the first paragraph they say that “the limited nature of the genomic dataset with individual data (N = 129) did not allow higher spatial resolution, but it is likely that the polygenic score difference between the highest and lowest scoring regions is of a higher magnitude”, that is to say that their speculation aren’t even fully supported by their data.
Haplogroup E1b1b has many subclades some of which are predominantly found in Europe (E-V13) and are associated with EEF samples found in the Balkans (where it peaks today), and surprise surprise, almost all the Eb1b in Italy belongs to such a subclade (a minority of true north african E-M81 is found at lower frequency in Sicily and Calabria, to be through though), but somehow it became associated with “north african and middle eastern ancestry”.
As above, if now lower cephalic index correlates with higher criminality by genetic causes, why does it reverse in north Europe, let’s say between Germany and Russia? Are there two sets of genes correlated with brachycephaly in Europe, one present in Italy and correlated with lower criminality and another present in the rest of Europe but correlated with higher criminality?
It looks like every phenotypic differences between north and south Italians are magnified and linked to traits undoubtly linked to genetics but also complex and linked to other factors (like height that is correlated to genetics but nutrition before adulthood is also very important), even when such traits aren’t linked to such traits outside of Italy.
To be fair as far as I have understood it the genes frequencies examined were already known to be linked to “educational attainment” (because I refuse to entertain the possibility they found sets of genes linked to educational attainments while working on the paper; that is they already “demonstrated”- for the sake of the argument let’s say they did- such a link in other works and measured the strength of the correlation in the Italian data, so it wasn’t strictly a circular argument but a measurement, as it can be when doing the same but for height.
What brings into question the trustworthiness of such correlation is that by their own admission they have found differences between NW and NE Italians as big as between each of both and south Italy, yet somehow these differences aren’t linked to the actual educational attainment in NW and NE Italy.

All these people are doing is correlating data points; they cannot point to hard data showing actual IQ differences. There is no “there” there. They are just correlating known differences in ancestry to known differences in “educational attainment” and genes correlated with “educational attainment.” There’s nothing there about actual IQ scores or genes affecting actual intelligence defined by IQ rather than “education attainment.” If “polygenic scores” already correlate gene frequencies to “educational attainment” (not IQ) then it would seem the current paper is trivial – demonstrating a correlation between ancestry and polygenic scores when it is already known that both ancestry and “educational attainment” differ between the groups, which means that a priori there will be a correlation, particularly since there is no reason to believe that gene frequencies for any allele will be identical between populations. They’re fishing for data to justify their pre-determined conclusion and then they explain away discrepancies.
Note also that in Lynn’s original paper it is MENA admixture explaining the alleged intelligence difference but here they posit additional explanations, since population genetics does not support MENA admixture above a few percentage points, which could not explain the large cognitive differences they assert.

An interpretation of this finding is that in Italy, natural selection acted over many generations to produce different population means for education-related traits (intelligence, impulsivity, openness to experience, etc.), thus becoming associated with old ancestry components.
Lynn’s original crap:
The lower IQ in southern Italy may be attributable to genetic admixture with populations from the Near East and North Africa.
To summarize: Ignoring the actual Italian IQ data cited in the work mentioned at the Italianthro site, which do not show higher Northern IQ, the Lynnites focus instead on the indirect, and environmentally-influenced, metric of “educational attainment.” Knowing in advance that there are ancestral differences between Northern and Southern Italians that are correlated to certain phenotypic differences (mostly irrelevant to intelligence and accomplishment), and that there are differences in “educational attainment” that can be trivially correlated (not regressed) to the aforementioned differences, and knowing that certain gene frequencies are correlated to “educational attainment,” they then perform the trivial task of correlating all of these together, to “prove” Lynn’s previous stupidity on this subject, to the online applause to sweaty fetishists. Along the way, they find those same gene frequency differences between different areas of Northern Italy that are of the same degree as the North/South differences, without evidence of the “educational attainment” link (forgetting for the moment how, as Gaston questions, all of these genetic and phenotypic cross-correlations hold, or do not hold, in other intra-European comparisons), which they blithely dismiss with hand-waving ad hoc “explanations.” Finally, note how the explanation for these purported “findings” essentially predominantly shifts from “MENA admixture” to “natural selection” with equal insouciance. Also note that this crap needs to end up in the HBD journal Mankind Quarterly, instead of a normal scientific publication, where the reviewers would call out the authors for their imbecility.
Let us not forget that the pseudoscientist Lynn also studied Irish IQ, in a particularly stupid manner. He took one set of IQ scores from adults and another set from children from a completely different test, averaged them and came up with a score that “just happened” to fit with his IQ-GDP correlation. The idiot does not understand that you CANNOT average disparate data sets. You can only average technical or biological replicates – that is, replicates of the same general type of sample (e.g., different cell lines of the same type of organism or different sets of mice or different sets of adults or children) with the same methodology (e.g., same IQ test, you moron), either within (technical replicates) or between (biological replicates) experiments. Even if you want to extend the concept of biological replicates to include different organisms (as, wrongly I think, that link does) you cannot average those, only present them as separate, parallel data. The proper way of looking at this is that if you do replicate experiments, using the same methodology at the same time on samples derived from the same original set, that is a technical replicate. If you then repeat the experiment, with the same methodology, at different times, using different samples of the same type as the first, then that is a biological replicate. The technical replicates from the first experiment can be averaged to yield a data point for that experiment. The same is done in subsequent biological replicates and then you take the average (mean) of those biological replicates and also calculate the standard deviation. If several sets of Irish adults were tested with a particular IQ test in one year, you could average those as a technical replicate, and if that was repeated in the future (same test, same type of Irish adult samples), those can be biological replicates. But it is totally bogus to take Irish adult IQ scores with one test and average them with Irish children IQ scores with a different test and come up with a “score” that just happens to be precisely what supports your hypothesis. What Lynn did was like averaging the running speed of five year-olds in potato sack races with that of adult Olympic sprinters and making conclusions on the data, and crowing how it supports his theories. Lynn is an incompetent pseudoscientist. I cite the Irish IQ case to demonstrate how the HBDers operate: They start with their desired conclusion (i.e., confirmation of their hypothesis) and then work backwards to generate “data” to support that pre-determined desired conclusion. Any findings that do not fit are ignored or explained away with “Occam’s Butterknife.”
A pressing question for psychometrics is – why HBDers, and Der Movement as a whole, has this bizarre obsession with Italians, particularly Southern Italians? What is the “polygenic score” for pathologically obsessive ethnic fetishism?
An even more pressing point is – when is this thing Lynn going to raise global IQ by dropping dead? How long do we need to wait? How long is this elderly decrepit moron going to hang on? Technically, yes, in many cases. Practically speaking, 95% (at least) of population genetics papers I see show only the first two PCs.
